Q:  Reasons for using Postmarked Chicago™?
A:  There are many reasons but here are two.
  1. Cost. Since this isn't a full service mail forwarding or a private mailbox, there are no monthly fees or contracts. One can use this service once a week, once a month, years later as often as needed or not at all. 
  2.  Of all possible reasons one may have to use Postmarked Chicago™ it could be wagered that privacy is at the core.
Q:  How about an example of use?
A:   There are individuals who may be estranged from their families. During the holidays and special occasions they would like to reach out to them, just to let them know that they are well...but rather keep their whereabouts private. If this is the scenario for an individual in California then he would send his letter or small care package to Postmarked Chicago™ and it would then get re-mailed to his family in whatever state the letter is to be delivered.
Q:   What would people mail?
A:    Letters, postcards, CDs, small care packages, electronics,  gaming consoles, gifts in general... almost anything not over a certain weight.
Q:   How does this work and what is the cost?
A:    Easy. In this particular example there are two envelopes.  Address envelope # 1 to Postmarked Chicago™ and use proper postage. Place envelope # 2 containing the letter and proper postage inside envelope #1 and place it in the mail. Once the letter has been received by Postmarked Chicago™ the 2nd letter would then be mailed to it's destination appearing to come from IL.  The cost is $3 per letter/package for this normal service as special services are extra. For example if one would like to include a post card from a specific hotel in Chicago then that is considered extra because a little travel and hotel logistics are now involved.
Q: Why would one need a postcard from a specified hotel?
A:  It may happen when a spouse is told of a business

 trip to Chicago with hotel stay or...maybe a postcard from a specific hotel is genuinely desired. The reason is of no concern to Postmarked Chicago™ and will not be asked.
Q:  Is that all?
A:   Request Postmarked Chicago's mailing address either through: postmarkedchicago@gmail.com or follow through twitter @PostmarkChicago. Once your mail has been received and re-mailed the notification will be emailed or sent via tweet.
               Things to note:
- Re-mailing weight limit is 10 lbs. All packages should be weighed before mailing to Postmarked Chicago™.
- Postmarked Chicago™ does NOT open mail/packages not addressed to Postmarked Chicago™ as that action is illegal, however, any and all things considered illegal, unlawful, SHOULD NOT be mailed to Postmarked Chicago™ for re-mailing.
- Payment must be included with letters or packages that is to be re-mailed.  Certified funds (money order, teller check, official check etc...). 
- Postmarked Chicago™ does not compile a database of emails and addresses of any type for any purpose nor verify addresses of any type. Please make sure ALL addresses are correct.
- It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that all letters and packages that are to be re-mailed have their proper postage.
- Postmarked Chicago™ is not responsible for lost or damaged mail.
- Finally, special requests for re-mailings are only to be sent via email: postmarkedchicago@gmail.com  for efficient dialogue.
